Pam Fradkin is an administrative assistant who comes to AeroAstro/MIT by way of a friend in Biological Engineering. She got her start as an all-around assistant on a large DARPA grant in BE, then worked in Resource Development, AeroAstro, and Biology as a temp following that grant’s closure, and now works full-time for the department, supporting a variety of faculty and researchers. Prior to coming to MIT, she worked for Jessica's Biscuit selling cookbooks and writing their newsletter. She has worked in assisted living and in group homes for the profoundly developmentally disabled. An avid reader, she likes nothing more than learning something new, and has an affinity for languages and the spoken word. Pam is a lifelong activist. Her hobbies include poetry, walking, and reading in crowded places.

Parker Vascik

Parker Vascik is a systems engineer working at the intersection of emerging technology, business, and policy to bring about game-changing capabilities. His research focuses on broad-scope systems analysis, especially in the domains of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and sustainable aviation. Dr. Vascik serves as a research engineer within ICAT while also maintaining positions within industry, currently with an aircraft autonomy company. He previously consulted for aviation firms, emerging mobility companies, airport operators, and government agencies to assess, develop, and ultimately deploy emerging AAM technologies. Dr. Vascik was also a nominated expert to ICAO CAEP working group 4 where he conducted analyses to develop and sustain international environmental policies. Key contributions to the aerospace industry include over twenty technical papers, a dozen invited presentations, and contributions to white papers including the Uber white paper on urban air mobility and Regent white paper on seagliders.
